We recently had the opportunity to speak with TOV Furniture to learn more about the brand and what makes them stand out amongst their competitors:
Tell us the history of your brand:
We had been in the furniture industry for three years, and in those years, we kept noticing that companies were working off decades-old business models. They kept producing the same traditional pieces they had been producing for forty to fifty years, just at lower and lower price points. There were about two thousand furniture companies out there doing the same thing and producing the same pieces as everyone else.
What serves as inspiration when creating new products?
We really pull inspiration from female empowerment and runway trends. Before COVID we were attending all the biggest runway shows to make sure our designs were the most up to date and focused on what was trending. Bright and bold colors, fun lines, shapes, and textures!
Who are your products designed for?
Our product is for the millennial shopper and anyone who wants unique, fashion-inspired furniture at great price points.
Describe the process your team goes through when creating a new product:
Production is done in several phases! After a design is rendered we choose colors and finishes. We then source for the best quality and pricing and have a sample made.
The completed sample then goes through quality control to ensure it matches the render and our vision. Once approved this is moved into production after which another round of quality control is done to ensure the production matches the sample. After all that we offer our newness to our amazing customers.
Where are your products manufactured?
We manufacture in China, Vietnam, India and we’re just starting to work with Indonesia.
What does TOV stand for?
Tone of Voice. We sell furniture that is never boring – the on-trend style that customers are looking for, at an affordable price.
