We’re excited to spotlight one of our more recent brands added to Hello Raye, Leland Furniture. In this article, we learn a bit more about the background behind Leland Furniture and what makes the brand stand out:
Tell us the history of your brand:
Formed in 1992, near the shores of Lake Michigan, Leland International began with a clear vision: Design products that look and feel contemporary, while enduring timelessly. Our first offering, the Marquette Chair, perfectly embodies this philosophy.
What serves as inspiration when creating new products?
At Leland, we design furniture for good living. Inspired by our home state of Michigan, everything we need surrounds us- the company we keep, the nature outside our door, and the satisfaction of crafting by hand. The furniture we sit, work, and lounge on should feel as natural as the air we breathe, and organic in the space it inhabits. In color, form, and spirit, the wonders of Michigan show up in our designs. Most recently, we introduced a gradient finish application on our Omena chair that is inspired by the colors we see across nature. This method of applying color is unlike anything available in the commercial furniture industry today. We see gradients in consumer applications all over the place – from the apps on our phones to trends within fashion. Leland is now bringing these textural gradients into the furniture world, where they haven’t had much of a presence. Until now!
